Lana Skrtic
English/History/Math/Test Prep
Lana holds a teaching credential in Social Science and English Literature for grades 6 through 12, and she has taught middle school and high school English and History. Lana graduated with a Masters of Science in Energy and Resources from the University of California at Berkeley, where she also completed PhD coursework in history. Lana graduated summa cum laude from the University of Maryland, College Park, with bachelor's degrees in history and economics, and a concentration in mathematics. Before that, she earned the IB Diploma from Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville, Maryland.
Lana has extensive experience with students of all ages and learning styles, and she supports students with writing, history, math, and test preparation. With two decades of teaching experience, Lana has developed a range of pedagogical approaches that she applies to address the needs of each student. In particular, she has developed a compassionate and supportive approach for students with learning differences. Lana is passionate about learning and teaching, and loves to pass on her enthusiasm to her students.
