Marie Babb

Marie Babb is a passionate educator with many years of both classroom teaching
experience within MCPS and private tutoring. She enjoys working with busy high school
athletes and young scholars on executive functioning skills. She excels at identifying
students' learning styles and teaching them the best study and organizational skills to
optimize their time and effectiveness. Many of her high school student athletes have
gone on to receive both academic and athletic scholarships to college. Marie is a yoga
teacher as well and uses her knowledge of breathwork and psychology to help young
athletes and scholars better cope with performance and test anxiety. Marie also
coaches students on how to be better self advocates and communicators. Marie holds a
BA from the University of Maryland College Park in elementary education and tutors
elementary students in reading, writing and math. She seeks to help young people see
the best in themselves and perform their best in the world.
