Matthew Lichvar

Matthew recently earned his master's +60, which is a PHD equivalency in the Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) system. He has been with MCPS for 14 years, spending 5 of those years teaching Grade 6. In the past, he has taught Grades 3,4,5, and 7. Currently, he teaches Grade 6 Reading and Earth Science.

Matthew believes in a flexible teaching approach in which all of his students are encouraged and empowered to learn and share their ideas. He uses both technology and traditional teaching methods to engage students in learning. He looks forward to a successful collaborative learning experience.
