Allie Berry

Allie is an editor at an advertising agency by day but has also worked as a verbal/English tutor for the last 12 years. Allie grew up in Montgomery County and graduated from Wootton High School. She then earned a B.A. in journalism from the University of Maryland and a M.S. in publishing from Pace University.

Allie loves teaching grammar skills, along with simplified methods for revising and editing assignments, to her students. Allie also has experience tutoring in verbal test prep, reading comprehension, writing skills, and executive functioning.

Before getting into healthcare editing about 12 years ago, Allie’s focus was on children’s publishing. Allie continues to love children’s literature despite no longer working in the field, and she now enjoys reading to her two young daughters who also share her love for books.
