Allison Angowski

Math Tutor/Executive Functioning Coach

After studying middle level education with a concentration in math and a minor in TESOL from Messiah College, Allison acquired her first teaching job in Montgomery County Public Schools as a middle school mathematics teacher. Less than two years into her career, she decided to further her education to better equip her as a 21st century educator. With education headed towards a heavy emphasis on technology and digital age learning, she pursued a master's degree in Digital Age Learning and Educational Technology from Johns Hopkins University. Over the years, Allison has taught Algebra, Math 8, IM, and Math 6. In addition, she is an Academic Team Leader as her current school.

Her goal as an educator is to help her students appreciate math and understand the relevance in day-to-day life. She wants to help students know how to use and produce information using technology for the greater good and teach students computational skills that will help them be successful global citizens. Allison focuses on building positive relationships with her students while holding high expectations for student achievement.
