Brian Watts

Math/Executive Functioning Coach

Brian J. T. Watts has a career that has been shaped by his desire to help students discover their potential
through mathematics while empowering parents, teachers, and schools to work together in support of
every child’s success. Over the course of more than 27 years, he has had the privilege of serving as a
mathematics teacher, instructional leader, educational consultant, author, and international educator,
teaching students from middle school mathematics through Calculus while also preparing learners for
standardized tests, college mathematics, and GED success. Brian believes in educating the whole
student by combining rigorous mathematics instruction with social-emotional learning strategies that
build resilience, confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning. His commitment extends
beyond the classroom as he partners with parents, teachers, school leaders, and organizations to design
personalized learning experiences and professional development that meet the unique needs of
students and educators alike.
Brian’s journey in education has been marked by continual growth and a commitment to excellence. He
holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics along with master’s and educational specialist degrees in
Educational Leadership, and has taught in classrooms across the United States and internationally. As a
certified international mathematics teacher, professional speaker, educational consultant, and author
of How To Help Your Children Help Themselves, Brian regularly equips schools, families, and
organizations with practical strategies that strengthen academic achievement, student motivation, and
meaningful collaboration between home and school. Through his work as a mathematics tutor, he
continues to demonstrate that mathematics can be understandable, engaging, and empowering for
learners at every level.
When he is not teaching, speaking, writing, or consulting, Brian enjoys cooking, movies, karaoke, and
travel.
