Justin Nguyen

Justin is currently a 6th grade math teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools. Before switching to middle school, Justin spent his first couple years teaching in Elementary school in MCPS as well. Justin is very familiar with Montgomery County as he was a graduate from Wootton High School.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary and Special Education from UMD, complemented by a minor in Leadership Studies. He furthered his expertise by earning a Master of Education degree, also from UMD, in Special Education.

Justin emphasizes making the curriculum and state standards accessible to everyone. With his degree in special education, he has learned and implemented various strategies to struggling students to help bridge the gap in student's knowledge compared to their peers. He wants every child to be confident and invested in their own education.

Beyond the classroom, Justin remains actively engaged in the community. After work, he is coaching High School Football. He loves spending quality time with family and friends and watching football.
