With three decades of experience as an MCPS Reading Specialist, Consultant, and Special Educator, Kristen is now focusing her expertise on what she loves most—providing highly individualized, targeted instruction that ensures each student thrives. She holds the deep belief that developing proficient readers fosters overall self-confidence and she strives to make each session fun for young readers.



When she’s not teaching, you’ll likely find her on the tennis court, catching a flight, or unwinding on her deck with a good book. Kristen is the proud mom of two college-aged daughters and is married to a dedicated math teacher.
