Ryan is currently in his third year as a high school Spanish teacher in MCPS. A native of Montgomery County, Ryan completed the Spanish Immersion program in the Bethesda-Chevy Chase cluster; he continued with the language at Muhlenberg College, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish and in Education. In college, Ryan worked as tour guide, a Spanish tutor, and as an English Writing Assistant in First Year Seminars and the College’s Writing Center. As a senior, he was selected as an alternate for a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant award. Additionally, he was a four year member of the nationally ranked varsity football team.
A lifelong learner of Spanish, Ryan brings passion and energy into the classroom and prioritizes communication and experiential learning when teaching Spanish to his students.
Ryan is also a high school football and wrestling coach. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and being outdoors.
