Sasha Kazakov
K-6 Reading, Writing, Math, and Executive Functioning Coach
Sasha Kazakov earned her Bachelor’s degree from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. She has six years of experience tutoring students ages 3–13 in math, reading, & writing. Sasha has supported learners at a wide range of academic levels, including students recovering from post-COVID learning gaps, those performing below grade level, students with learning disabilities, and recent immigrants developing English proficiency.
Through her work as a private tutor and at Kumon Math & Reading Center, Sasha has personally supported over 50 students in strengthening their math and reading skills while building academic confidence through personalized, results-driven instruction. Her specialization is early elementary education, with a focus on phonics, foundational sentence construction, and core math and English skills. By using a fun, engaging, and interactive teaching approach, Sasha has inspired dozens of young students to develop a love of reading and a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
Aside from her passion of teaching and mentorship, Sasha works full time as a technology analytics consultant, and loves playing piano, hiking, and spending time with her dog! She is very excited to connect with students through GSW
