Tarnicka Congress

OG Reading/Math tutor/Executive Functioning Coach

Tarnicka Congress earned a bachelor's degree in general and special education, covering grades Kindergarten through sixth. She also obtained a master's degree in education and a master's certificate in Administration. Tarnicka is currently in her seventh year as a 4th-grade Center for Enriched Studies Teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools. Prior to moving to Maryland, she taught third and fourth grade for nine years at Charlotte Mecklenburg Public Schools and worked as a Special Education teacher for the Department of Education in New York City for five years. Tarnicka knew she wanted to be a teacher since she was seven years old! In addition to her role as a classroom teacher, Tarnicka serves as the Site Liaison and Head Coach for the Let Me Run and Girls on the Run after-school programs. She also worked as a Lead Tutor/Program Coordinator at Stonegate for the CARES tutoring program in MCPS for three years.
Tarnicka's passion for education drives her to develop her students academically, socially, and emotionally. She believes that every student has amazing potential and a unique learning style. Her goal is to determine the best ways to support students in achieving their educational goals. Tarnicka also enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family.
